Who We Are
GLOWHER Collective is a global women’s health research collective committed to advancing health equity through advocacy, research, storytelling, and community engagement. We believe women’s health is deeply connected to culture, environment, policy, and lived experience, and we work to amplify diverse voices through collaborative and visual participatory approaches. Our mission is to empower the next generation of changemakers to explore critical issues in women’s and global health while creating meaningful, community-centered impact.

Mission Statement:
The Global Women’s Health Research Collective (GLOWHER) is dedicated to transforming global women’s health through visual participatory research. We empower communities to uncover and address women’s health issues by fostering collaboration, celebrating diversity, and promoting justice for reproductive health worldwide. Utilizing creative, arts-based, and participatory methods, we amplify women’s voices and experiences, providing a comprehensive understanding that guides innovative solutions for improved health outcomes. Grounded in collaboration, mentorship, and a growth mindset, we strive to reshape global health research and practice power dynamics. By embracing cultural humility and inclusive research practices, we bring attention to often marginalized perspectives, advancing reproductive justice, mental health, and overall well-being. Our mission is to champion health equity and justice at every stage of the research process, ensuring that women’s health is studied, celebrated, and understood globally.
